1. Why would I choose KS Consulting over one of the larger firms?
Ginny Kenyon and Margaret Shepherd, the principals of KS Consulting, bring their expertise to all engagements and only accept clients they can personally help and support. 2. Why does the Administrative Policy and Procedure Manual cost so much?
Our manual incorporates all the policies, procedures, and forms needed to run a home care or private duty business as a separate operation. Each manual is customized to fit the specific business model of our client and contains a CD for future updates by the organization. The manual is available as part of a consultation experience.

3. Why would my organization employ KS Consulting?
The staff time required to develop a new program is often prohibitive, especially when existing day-to-day operations require full attention. KS Consulting can focus our full attention to your program, offering new insight and clear direction. In order to determine what changes would make a constructive difference in clinical practice or financial results, an issue within an organization might require an objective, third party analysis of the service dynamics. Onsite training can engage program leadership along with office based and field staff.

4. Are your services available to individuals?
The role of mentor and teacher is a respected aspect of the KS Consulting approach to client relationships and coaching is offered to individuals who are new to a position or when the organization is under a major change. Families served by health care or social service organizations can directly benefit from the resources in the Caregiver Hiring Manual and Tool Kit. This is a tool to guide the family in organizing their caregiver responsibilities at home.

5. We already have policy and procedure manuals for our skilled services? How can KS Consulting help?
Personal care services and private duty programs need to have clinical policies and procedures specific to those types of service and levels of care. KS Consulting's Employee Handbook brings all the polices, procedures, and forms necessary to be compliant with current state and federal regulations, as well as the materials needed for employee safety and retention, together in one, easy to access manual.

6. My organization is being acquired by a larger facility. How can KS Consulting help?
Acquisition can be a time of identity crisis and major change as organizations redefine expectations under a new organizational structure. KS Consulting principals have considerable experience working staff through this kind of transition and helping employees make personal decisions that relate to individual career goals. Acquisition can also be an opportunity to redesign systems and create new efficiencies and program offerings, and KS Consulting can shed new light on potential areas for growth and productive change.

7. My business seems to be stagnating, but I don't have the budget to take on a major consulting engagement. Can you still help?
There are many options to consider. KS Consulting offers interim management support and can give candid feedback while helping to manage the day-to-day needs of the program. Short-term management intervention can bring a fresh perspective and give insight into areas where a new focus could be instrumental in achieving success. A quick, strategic analysis can also bring perspective as to why a service might be under-performing. To support budget and staff resources, most engagements can be phased over time.
