Virginia Kenyon, RN, MN (Ginny) - Principal. Ginny holds a Masters in Nursing Administration
with minors in Business and Health Services. She has worked as an administrator in Public Health,
Home Health and Private Duty Home Care for the last eighteen years. She has a strong background
in operations and program development and her experience in visiting nurse services, national home
health companies and working with investors in startup home care and private duty companies brings
a unique perspective to the consulting process.
An accomplished writer, Ginny has co-authored a book on Nurse Delegation in Home Health as well as written
articles for a variety of professional journals. She develops policy and procedure manuals for the practicing home
care administrator as well as continuing education materials for the home health aide and personal care worker
in home care or long term care settings. Her keen understanding of clinical staff competency in home care
service delivery helps clients develop and implement solutions that fit organizational needs and expectations.
She has established on-site training programs for home health and hospice staff and lends her expertise to
the development of care management skills.
Margaret Shepherd - Principal. Margaret has an undergraduate degree in nursing and graduate
preparation in health care administration. She has held supervisory and management positions in a visiting
nurse association and a private home health agency prior to founding a freestanding home health agency.
As CEO of that company, she created an organization that provided a wide range of health and social
services, including a licensed community mental health program, residential programs for developmentally
disabled adults and persons living with AIDS and geriatric assessment and care management services.
She also developed an early hospice model as part of a national demonstration.
Margaret has extensive experience in health policy, fund development and strategic planning and has
developed quality initiatives and standards for credentialing programs. Business development and program
operations have been a significant focus in her more recent organizational work. She also works to develop
the role of the Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner within the home health and hospice practice setting.
